T.O.N.Y. by SOLANGE

I'm in love with Solange!  I appreciate her artistry, and her relentlessness for quality and not quantity (cough cough Beyonce' cough cough).  The 2nd album didn't do so well on the billboard charts, but the production didn't fall short at all!  T.O.N.Y. is my favorite track on the CD and the video does justice to the clean, complex concept of the song.

Check out the video (below) - What do you think?

NEW: BlackBerry STORM

BLACKBERRY'S ANSWER TO THE iPHONE is officially here!

Tomorrow, Verizon Wireless releases the latest edition of BlackBerry. It is fully equipped with the 3G network, providing high-speed wireless connection.  BlackBerry's new "SurePress" touch screen allows you to touch and click the hi-resolution 3.25" screen with assurance; you can feel it when you make your selection.  Other features include, full html browser, VZ navigator, multimedia capabilities, productivity tools (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and social tools (facebook, mobile IM, picture and video messaging).

Also comes equipped with USB 2.0 High Speed connection, 1GB Flash Memory, Bluetooth 2.0, and impressive 3.2 Megapixel Camera and Camcorder. Some applications that are available is the highly anticipated Visual Voice Mail - allowing you to see who left you a voicemail, great for prioritizing and dodging phone calls.

According to Verizon's website, the accessories in the box include an international charger, SIM Card, 8GB Micro SD Card, USB Cable, and of course a Battery.

$199.99 with a new 2 year contract on a nationwide email plan. So far only available with Verizon Wireless. I love the new technology. I'm just waiting on space cars, and George Jetson's closet.

CNN TOUCH SCREEN

The CNN situation room has been on it's grizzle when it comes to keeping up with technology, surpassing its competition when it comes to delivering the news interactively. It takes you to a place in the future; realizing that the technology of the future exists today. As an aspiring writer/journalist, this gave me a feeling of excitement to know we are living in promising times of technologic advances.

Peep the video below - a short demonstration of the coolness (if you haven't peeped it before).

MY FASHION, YOUR FASHION

(Above) This sweater is tough.  But, I would rock this fit without the scarf. (Below) The zipper is cool - I like the details with the cuffs, but clearly the undershirt is what completes this look.

Fashion is a “necessary-good.” In life there are necessities and wants. The wants are usually justified as necessary, but we know in the back of our minds, they are only goods we want. War is sometimes referred to in history as necessary evils. In retrospect, I consider fashion a “necessary-good.”

The impulse to window shop is just as intrusive as using your choice of paper or plastic at the cash register. Even if you don’t like taking that trip to the mall (parking in those tight parking spaces, walking a couple of miles to that one particular store in the whole mall that actually has clothes you wear and that are affordable) clothing has evolved into a staple in the lives of all people across the world, forcing fashion into the forefront of the consumer.

Even technology has been transformed into the world of fashion; when the 26-year-old bachelor hangs his 50-inch Sony LCD flat screen exactly eye-level while lounging in his living room for the Sunday game or that late night Cinemax movie date. The ipod, the cell phone, the blackberry, and the car are useful tools of technology and have also become fashion statements in most cases.

In saying all this, I cannot judge the next man or woman for what he or she chooses as their fashion. This is the dynamic appeal that allows the industry to thrive – it has no race, gender, or identity. Although, I do commend Diddy on focusing his efforts to use only black-male models in his last major fashion show. Diddy’s stance made it clear that opportunity in the industry is evolving. I hate boxes and sharp edges; fashion doesn’t stand still with a one-sided answer. Whether you’re addicted or exhausted by the fashion world, it is fair to say that it’s cool to be you in the fashion you choose!

(Above) This jacket is krazy!!  It would probably be too much to wear to work or school, but to the club or to another high-fashion event (red carpet), it would rock out.
(Above) I'm still getting used to those pockets, but overall its clean and simple.  Can't go wrong with that.
(Above) This jacket is fly.  The fit cut is cool for the ladies to check out that a dude has been hitting the gym.  I'm not feeling the tie with it, but I like mistakes - e.g. the shirts' cuffs are longer than the jacket's sleeves; I'm tall and lanky so this is my main problem/signature-look.

XVIII: Beyonce' Day

Sasha Fierce!? I'm still not feeling the 'fierce' part, but the Queen Bee is back with a new buzz. Tomorrow her new studio album entitled "BEYONCE...I AM...SASHA FIERCE" is Beyonce's 3rd solo studio album. The 2-disc CD will have two editions - the regular edition and the delux edition (Papa Knowles is a Business MAN)!

Beyonce'...is the first disc which is supposed to be "BEYONCE" the regular, off-stage girl (with little personality) - the calm before the storm.

Sasha Fierce...is the second disc which is supposed to be her infamous alter-ego (with KRAZY PERSONALITY - a bit drag-queenish)!

If you liked "Dangerously in Love" then you should like the first disc "I am..." due to the fact that it is filled with slow ballads and love songs. The hottest track is track #4 - 'Broken Hearted Girl' - vocally sick-wit-it! Track # 2 - 'Halo' get's honorable mention though.

If you were one of the few who liked B'Day then you should feel the second disc "Sasha..." because it's straight Hip-n-B. The hottest club banger to close out the '08 New Year is track #3 - 'Diva' (A.K.A. upgrade u part II). But only on the delux edition will you get the best songs from this album - 'Hello', 'Ego', and 'Scared of being lonely'. (If a girl sang 'EGO' to me I prolly would get a big head - w!nk)

Check out the MYSPACE - it has the full two-disc CD for listen.

GRHYMEZdotcom gives it an overall: 4 LIGHTER'S IN THE AIR! (out of 5)

Beyonce'/Sasha will be appearing on BET's 106& Park 11/18 at 6pm.
