R.I.P. - Happy Born Day Aaliyah

She would've been 30 years old today.  It's always a blessing to have some people in this chaotic world who touches millions of people with one voice.  Celebrating the birth of an angel is most satisfying than mourning a death (in my opinion).

Traditionalism Still Exists?

We live in a time where the good guys lose and the bad boys end up on top ; for the most part - GO OBAMA! Putting it all into retrospect, 2009 is upon us and traditionalism is fading with the times. But could mahogany, family, true love, true friendship, etc. all still be in existence, living through the morals of some people’s lives. I would hope to think that it does, but the realist in me denies all that can be good, and accepts all the bad as real life.

Recently, entrepreneur Angela Simmons has been on all the blogs and gossip wires because of her stance on traditionalism. Her new show “Daddy’s Girl” – along with her sister Vanessa Simmons – recently premiered on MTV and the theme for the first episode was all about Angela’s break up with her boyfriend (the skater dude).

In the episode she claims she left him because she wanted to keep her virginity until she was married, and obviously ol’ boy wasn’t feeling the terms of the contract!

Could Angela Simmons be that much needed needle in the hay-stack? Is it really-real son? I’ll be staying tuned for more on this budding super-status preacher’s daughter (Shout out to Rev. Run)! Most Def!
