MY FASHION, YOUR FASHION

(Above) This sweater is tough.  But, I would rock this fit without the scarf. (Below) The zipper is cool - I like the details with the cuffs, but clearly the undershirt is what completes this look.

Fashion is a “necessary-good.” In life there are necessities and wants. The wants are usually justified as necessary, but we know in the back of our minds, they are only goods we want. War is sometimes referred to in history as necessary evils. In retrospect, I consider fashion a “necessary-good.”

The impulse to window shop is just as intrusive as using your choice of paper or plastic at the cash register. Even if you don’t like taking that trip to the mall (parking in those tight parking spaces, walking a couple of miles to that one particular store in the whole mall that actually has clothes you wear and that are affordable) clothing has evolved into a staple in the lives of all people across the world, forcing fashion into the forefront of the consumer.

Even technology has been transformed into the world of fashion; when the 26-year-old bachelor hangs his 50-inch Sony LCD flat screen exactly eye-level while lounging in his living room for the Sunday game or that late night Cinemax movie date. The ipod, the cell phone, the blackberry, and the car are useful tools of technology and have also become fashion statements in most cases.

In saying all this, I cannot judge the next man or woman for what he or she chooses as their fashion. This is the dynamic appeal that allows the industry to thrive – it has no race, gender, or identity. Although, I do commend Diddy on focusing his efforts to use only black-male models in his last major fashion show. Diddy’s stance made it clear that opportunity in the industry is evolving. I hate boxes and sharp edges; fashion doesn’t stand still with a one-sided answer. Whether you’re addicted or exhausted by the fashion world, it is fair to say that it’s cool to be you in the fashion you choose!

(Above) This jacket is krazy!!  It would probably be too much to wear to work or school, but to the club or to another high-fashion event (red carpet), it would rock out.
(Above) I'm still getting used to those pockets, but overall its clean and simple.  Can't go wrong with that.
(Above) This jacket is fly.  The fit cut is cool for the ladies to check out that a dude has been hitting the gym.  I'm not feeling the tie with it, but I like mistakes - e.g. the shirts' cuffs are longer than the jacket's sleeves; I'm tall and lanky so this is my main problem/signature-look.
